2016 Men’s Day of Play

Come Join us on Saturday November 5th for the First Annual ECPC Kingdom Men’s Day of Play. This is a day for the men of the church, and their friends, to get away. We have three great outdoor events lined up for you to choose from. For those who enjoy shooting or want to give it a try, Matt Williams will be leading a group to Etowah Valley Sporting Clays. If you’re looking for a relaxing day on the water, follow Mark Jacobson to Hollis Q. Lathen Reservoir for some fishing. Lastly, if you feel like being frustrated at how hard something is, commiserate with Stephen Helwig and Jonathan Jackson at Fox Creek Golf Club. Use the links below to see the details on each event and sign-up. We look forward to seeing you and your friends there.

Shooting: Sporting Clays at Etowah Valley

Description: Come enjoy a fun morning of shooting sporting clays at Etowah Valley Sporting Clays. Men can carpool from the church at 8:15 or meet at Etowah Valley at 9:45. Sporting Clays is a shooting sport where the clay targets are thrown from machines that are place in positions designed to simulate the unpredictability of live-quarry shooting, offering a great variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations, distances, and target sizes from station to station. You will have everything from crossing, coming toward you, going away from you, running on the ground and dropping out of the sky targets. It is described as a “golf course with a shotgun” because a typical course is laid out over natural terrain.
